Port Coquitlam bathroom: a stand-alone tub and a glass shower where the old tub was
The old corner tub, the framed shower stall and the beige tile came out. In went a stand-alone soaker tub by the window, a glass corner shower with a rain head, grey tile and a pebble floor.

You asked for two things in this Port Coquitlam bathroom: a tub you would really use, and a shower that did not feel like a box. The old corner tub, the framed glass stall and the beige tile all came out.
Before any tile went near the new shower, we built the shower floor and covered it with a Schluter Kerdi waterproof layer. You can see the orange layer in the photos. That layer is what keeps a tiled shower dry. It is also the part most renovations cover up and hope for.
On top of it went big grey porcelain tiles, set flat with small clips so every edge lines up. Then a glass corner shower and a chrome rain head with a hand shower. A stand-alone soaker tub with a tall chrome tap took the spot by the window, on a floor of pebble mosaic.
We quoted this bathroom and we built it. If you are in Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam or Port Moody and your bathroom has the same tired tub and stall, book a free visit. You get a written, itemized quote, and we build the room ourselves.
Before and after from the same angle.
